Artist's Statement
I am always striving to have my art ‘speak out’ by capturing something unique about human subjects that observers can clearly identify with and relate to; eyes that silently speak volumes along facial expressions and body language that reflect moods and temperament. For landscapes I concentrate on the ‘weather factor’ (season, clouds, foliage and time of day or night), which are all factors in the light source involved in the color and shading of the painting. From the initial planning stage of a painting to the last brush stroke provides a pleasure in my life like no other.

Artist's Biography
Joe has been drawing, sketching and painting since a very young age. After much encouragement from family,
friends and other artists, he began painting almost daily during the Nineteen Eighties. He is basically
self-taught through experimentation with numerous styles, techniques and mediums. Joe has viewed and applied
the knowledge gained from a great number of demonstration videos produced by renowned artists. Joe's favorite
subjects are "FACES & PLACES". He has traveled extensively and visited many galleries and museums (including
St Petersburg Russia, Paris, Toledo Spain, Dublin Ireland, New York, Carmel, CA and Chicago) to study art.
Joe's work can be found in corporate and private collections from Galway Bay, Ireland to Monterey Bay, California.
