Artist's Statement
"Art makes it possible to communicate with all people without words. I find beauty in visually expressed emotions of living. In painting people, I make every effort to capture the facial features that viewers can clearly identify with and relate to: eyes that silently speak volumes along with facial expressions and gestures that reflect mood, temperament and intimacy. If unknown, I speculate about the past, present, and future of the subject being painted.
From the initial planning of a new painting to the final brush stroke, I receive tremendous gratification and pleasure."

Joe Ray Kelley
Artist's Biography
Joe Ray Kelley has been recognized locally, regionally, nationally and internationally for his painting in acrylic, oil and mixed mediums.
Joe is one of the over 600 artists from around the world invited to attend and exhibit his work in the 2003 Biennale Internazionalle Dell'Arte Contemporanea, December6-15, 2003 in Florence, Italy.
He has been awarded SIGNATURE ARTIST status in the International Society of Acrylic Painters (ISAP). His name is recorded in the Tate Museum in England as a signature member of the organization.
Joe was awarded SIGNATURE ARTIST Status at the 21st Juried National Society 0f Artist (NSA)Show at Alvin TX in November 2003
November 2004: Joe was inducted into the SIGNATURE ARTIST GUILD of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society (NOAPS) at Osage Beach, Missouri
